Ben Smith
Catering Director

Ben has just recently joined the Tony Rosacci's Fine Catering group. He worked in the food service industry for 20 years. While enrolled at Colorado State University, he started as a dishwasher at a popular Italian restaurant and quickly worked his way through all the kitchen stations.

After graduating with a degree in English Literature, he moved to Steamboat Springs, where at night, he worked on the line of a local restaurant and during the day he enjoyed the mountain lifestyle. It was this position in Steamboat that gave him his first taste of cooking as a creative outlet.

This led Ben to enroll at The Art Institute of Colorado in Denver. While in the culinary program, Ben worked at Glenmoor Country Club, California Café at Park Meadows, and Papillon in Cherry Creek. Upon graduating from AI, he began working in the catering industry. He started as a sous chef at Three Tomatoes Catering, and then took over as Executive Chef after two years. Subsequently, he has held Executive Chef and Director of Operations positions at Whirled Peas Catering. Most recently, Ben launched Krave Colorado Catering with two partners. After three years of working on Krave, Ben decided to bring his skills and passions to the team at Tony Rosacci’s Fine Catering. Ben can be reached at 303-662-9353.
